I had an excellent stay at the Sojourn Apartment Hotel. Beautifully clean. I had a wonderful balcony so I could sit in the sunshine after work. The room was quiet and away from the road with good blackout curtains. The kitchenette was full equip with everything I needed. Breakfast brought to the room was fresh and more than enough. The staff were friendly and obliging. Great place to stay.
Over night stay at Sojourn Riddiford, i couldn't have asked for more.Room was immaculate with a big TV, even had choccys sitting on the bed for me!Staff were friendly and attentive.Only issue i had was with parking, there is extremely limited parking. Will definitely be staying at this Wellington accommodation again!

We had a lovely stay, it was very close to the hospital and town, offside parking was easy and the staff were great.
Opposite Wellington Hospital, 20-30 minute walk to foreshore. Rooms always spotlessly clean, comfortable and well maintained. Continental breakfast is generous. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good wifi.
Staff are excellentArrived late at night....made the checkin a breeze..and served me wellAlways smiling and happy to help.Car Parking available if precooked....convienent location walking distance to a supermarket and food shops and church and cricket ground...buses go pass the doorrooms are good and clean and quiet...my only criticism is power points are not in a convienent place if you need to work but fortunately they happily provided me an extension cord.Happily recommend Sojourn to anyone visiting Wellington

We stayed in room 1 on the ground floor for 6 nights. This is a 2 bedroom apartment that can sleep up to four.Pros:–Amazing staff who are very polite, friendly, and helpful–Modern rooms.–Clean–Very large dining/lounge space.–Walkable for lots of things.–Close to supermarket, fruit/veg store, various food options, and good public transport.–Decent range of appliances in kitchen (not if you want to make nice coffee but this did not bother me as I am not a coffee drinker).–Comfortable beds.–Seems to be a safe area of town, albeit it a little run down in places. Would prefer to stay here than in the middle of town though.Cons:–Very noisy in this room at night with traffic (cars going past constantly till quite late and night and early in the morning were the worst; the odd ambulance or helicopter was not as disruptive as the regular car and bus traffic). None of us slept well. It would be nice to see the glazing upgraded to provide more sound insulation as we have stayed on busy streets in other large cities and not had this level of traffic noise in the bedrooms.–In one of the rooms, there is a fire exit door with a sign above it that has a small flashing red light. Combined with the traffic noise, I found that quite disruptive when trying to sleep.–No opening windows, so hard to keep the room feeling fresh (we turned the heat pump on fan to get some air flow).–A lot of noise from people talking and no privacy going in and out of your room because this room is right beside the reception desk.–The kitchen is tiny compared with the huge lounge/dining space and cramped in a little hall right next to the bathroom, so there is not much space to prepare food and if anyone wants to get to the bathroom, it is hard for them to get past (also the bathroom did not have a strong extraction fan, so bathroom smells next to the kitchen are not great).–Drainage in the shower is not good (end up standing in a pool of water).Neutral:–Some may not be bothered by this but there is no storage in the rooms. There is nowhere to keep food in the kitchen (apart from the little fridge) and nowhere to put clothing in the bedrooms if you wanted to unpack a little. Being an apartment hotel and the likelihood of people staying longer it seems odd to not have more space for storing food in a cupboard or for storing clothing in the bedrooms. We kept all our non-fridge food on the table, but that reduced table space. If you are happy to live out of your bag, you could keep it on a luggage rack, but there was no space to set one up in one of the bedrooms because of a fire exit door. Also, there were only two luggage racks, so not enough if you have four people.
Best accommodation in Wellington. The most amazing staff, clean rooms and close to everything. Thank you for another great stay!
Amazing location, so handy to buses and NZ School of Dance/Toi Whakaari. Apartments are lovely, well furnished and modern, staff are super friendly and helpful.
In my case of short notice booking with location needed close to Wellington Hospital, they fitted the requirements perfectly - the website was easy to use and last minute changes were accommodated with the upmost professional and helpful staff. Room was clean and all requirements for a short unexpected stay were met. It’s a real secure and comfortable gem - the best I could recommend in the close location to the hospital and mins drive to the CBD. Supermarket just around the corner, perfect. Will continue to return there every visit to Wellington.
Stayed at Sojourn Apartment Hotel as was attending a course at Wellington Hospital. Fantastic location and proximity to the hospital, with the added luxury of secure car parking. Excellent service with check in and also a text to follow up on further needs (have never had this before in any travel). Room and facilities were literally sparkling clean. I would highly recommend to anyone needing accommodation in Wellington!

I picked the Sojourn Riddiford for its proximity to the hospital and booked online at 9pm for an 11pm arrival and a 2 night stay. The team behind the desk called me an hour later to confirm and could not have been more helpful when I arrived.My room was spotless and comfortable. Bathroom was well equipped. Bed was comfy. And the location across from the hospital was exactly what I needed. Very handy to have two supermarkets and several dining options within 5 minutes walk.Extending my stay a third night was simple. I would absolutely stay here again.
Rooms spotless clean & service from check in was 5/5! My room was right opposite laundry room so it was a little noisy when cleaners were at work in the morning. Only thing missing in the room was a dining table & chairs. Overall was happy with my stay & will definitely go back 😊 Thank you for the chocolates & little treat
Sojourn Apartment Hotel on Riddiford Street is an excellent choice for accommodation in Wellington, particularly if you need to be within a short walking distance of Wellington Hospital. It’s also conveniently located just a quick bike ride from Te Aro and Cuba Street.The location is fantastic, with several dining options and a Woolworths supermarket just a short stroll away. The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, featuring a well-equipped kitchenette and a nicely appointed bathroom stocked with complimentary toiletries. The daily room service was exceptional, ensuring the apartment remained spotless throughout my stay.A standout feature was the generous continental breakfast delivered to my room each morning. The selection was impressive, including fresh fruits, yoghurt, orange juice, toast, a muffin, croissants, jam, and muesli. It was the perfect start to my day, allowing me to focus on my plans without worrying about finding breakfast elsewhere.The staff at the concierge were incredibly friendly and attentive. A special mention goes to Leony, whose exceptional hospitality and willingness to assist made my stay even more enjoyable.I will definitely choose Sojourn Apartment Hotel again the next time I’m in Wellington!

If I could give The Sojourn Riddiford 10+ stars I would. I highly recommend this hotel.The reception team were absolutely amazing, my family stayed for a week as we had a family member in Hospital, after very short notice the team were able to accommodate my family, we all loved the 2 bedroom apartment and the studio rooms were perfect as well. All rooms and bathrooms were absolutely immaculate, and the kitchens were very well equipped.Very close to the supermarket and a lot of cafes for great coffee, perfect local for our needs but also very close to the city centre and very convenient that the bus stop is not far away.Thank you to the Sojourn team for making our stay stress free.
Super friendly welcome, recived a txt to let me know my room was ready and a further one after checking in. Staff were lovely. The location of the accommodation is super close to Wellington hospital making it a perfect place to stay if you need to visit friends or family in hospital. Room was beautiful and very clean, it had everything I needed available. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed here for 7 nights while my partner was having open heart surgery at Wellington Hospital - it was perfect for my needs it is directly across from hospital , very clean , spacious and had everything i needed . It is close to a supermarket, coffee and places to eat, the staff were super helpful and made this incredibly stressful time so much easier thank you.

Sojourn Apartments is a perfect place to stay.Easy to get everywhere either walking or busing.Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Despite being on a Main Street we found it pretty quiet. The staff are really helpful and friendly.Will definitely stay here again.

For a very convenient location just opposite Wellington Regional hospital and amongst interesting and cosmopolitan eating options in Newtown, Sojourn Apartments and hotel is a great place to stay.Our double room had self catering facilities including a dishwasher! And was spotlessly clean. Crisp white sheets and comfortable pillows. Very quiet given the location on a busy road and it was guy fawkes night and we were not disturbed by any noise. Also very affordable.The staff were super friendly and very professional.Deffinately recommend this place.

I had a fantastic stay at the Sojourn. Front desk staff were unfailingly polite and pleasant. Many hotels talk a big game about cleanliness, but the Sojourn walks the talk - “clean enough to eat off the floor, indeed!” - and special mention must be made to Thuy and the housekeeping team for keeping the rooms absolutely immaculate! Generous continental breakfasts too. If there was one minor quibble, it’s that street level rooms can sometimes be a bit on the noisy side, and the layout of the apartments means that light in the sitting room filters straight into the bedrooms. But apart from that, a fantastic stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone!
Every little detail included, from little chocolates to a Nespresso machine! The rooms are super clean, functional, space well thought out and up to date. The customer service is beyond exceptional. Such an accessible area. Suprisingly very quiet at night. Will definitely be our go to.

Absolutely amazing stay, couldn’t have asked for better. For me it was the little things. Nespresso coffee machine and cleaning in-between, privacy and friendly staff whenever they saw me said hello and asked it my stay was going well. Will be back, thank you for your kindness.

Lovely stay at the Sojourn. We were on the opposite side of the hospital, very quiet. Very clean, lovely shower, perfect for what we needed. Lovely warm service on arrival & checkout. Great location for buses. 100% would recommend.
Fantastic boutique apartments. Bus is right outside and only takes 5 to 10 minutes into the city centre. Rooms are a good size, well kept with quality fittings. There are a number of restaurants just up the road and a Woolworths 2 minutes away. Staff are happy and professional.Highly recommend.
Great place to stay. Extremely clean and different room options. We had a great apartment at the road front with a couple of comfortable couches. Free Wifi and SmartCast built into the TV to watch our shows after long days out. Staff at the hotel are just delightful and accommodating.The small kitchen we had was perfect for what we needed. We were able to cook breakfast in the morning and have snacks we on hand, saving quite a bit of money. The Countdown grocery store is a 2 minute walk and easy to get the things we forgot.Check out was painless and quick. Had the van packed in the back in their parking area. VERY reasonable $10 a day for parking!Only note is that the hospital is across the road. The helicopter does come in from time to time. No big deal though. You are in the city and there is going to be some noise.

The room is spotless, the daily services are excellent and the bed and couches are comfortable. It has been a necessary home away from home for us that has made our journey much easier and more comfortable. Thank you to the team.
Impeccable service from the staff including a passing staff member who helped us with the gate and the receptionist running out in the rain to open the back door for us. Rooms are petite but beautifully appointed, and of course, the location is pretty handy.
I stayed here by myself as well as having my family visit for an extra week.It's conevient to the Wellington hospital. Super friendly service, especially my man Paolo at the front desk. On first arrival he was so helpful and so accomodating thoughout my stay.The rooms and family rooms were really clean and equipt with essential cooking appliances, including a dishwasher. The daily houseclean was handy especially having to be out all day, which meant coming back to a clean and tidy room.I was also impressed with the personalised welcome message on the smart TV. The smart tv & chromecast was also useful for cold, wet and windy days staying in. The hotel is within walking distance to countdown and other amenities.I would definately reccomend this hotel to anyone who has a family member in the hospital.Thanks for an amazing experience

Enjoyed a relaxing overnight stay during a work trip. Service from when I checked in and out was great. Friendly & helpful desk staff. Parking was limited for my rental but they advised me ahead of arrival date and complimentary secure parking was available within mins of the lobby.Room was very well appointed, very clean & tidy. My room was facing the roadside but to my surprise it wasn’t even noisy.Would highly recommend.
Really happy with our stay here at The Sojourn Apartment Hotel. So handy to the hospital, and our room was clean, warm and quiet. Staff super friendly and helpful.All in all The Sojourn made our trip to Wellington’s health hub so much less stressful. Recommended.
From booking our night’s stay at Sojourn, to the quality of the rooms and the high standards of customer service from the staff, we were impressed and would definitely stay there again. The location is great being close to the hospital but also not far from the CBD. Parking was easy and reasonable and the room was quiet.
We had a lovely time at the Sojourn Hotel. The staff were friendly and the space was clean. They even upgraded our room! It is a perfect short walking distance to the city. I recommend this apartment hotel as personally, I would stay there again.

Our family required accommodation close to Wellington hospital, the sojourn on Riddiford is literally across the road, but it is also clean and extremely good value! We felt safe and had a comfortable room to come back to after visiting our loved one. Wifi and amenities are exceptional. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful! I will definitely be staying again 😊

We would highly recommend Sojourn Riddiford should you need to be central to Wellington Hospital or the Newtown area. Rooms are well appointed, incredibly clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is a problem. They were so accommodating when our plans had to change too. Sojourn Riddiford is a one place to stay in Wellington, the Hosts were so welcoming and very professional. The environment was so clean and the room was extra ordinary. The furniture looked new, well arranged and suited the room , the bathroom was absolutely clean.Not so much space for car parking though, but they have a very good plan for the guests vehicles.We really enjoyed our one night stay at this place.
