The dosa really hitting the mark with its freshness and crunch must have been a delight. It's always great when you feel like you're getting good value for your money, especially when dining out. The friendly staff and fast service really contribute to a positive atmosphere, and the light music adds an extra touch that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it seems like a wonderful place to dine, and your recommendation is sure to entice others to give it a try!
I recently visited Wellington for a fun little trip with family and friends, and while exploring the city, I stumbled upon this hidden gem. The food was fantastic, the portions generous, and the service was impeccable. Having lived in Dubai for 15 years, I have a strong fondness for South Indian cuisine, but I’ve struggled to find a good restaurant in Auckland. There is one decent South Indian place in Hamilton, but this one truly stands out. The dosas were fabulous and incredibly tasty! I was so impressed that we ordered takeaway the next day, including malbari paranthas, chicken 65, and omelets.I do have a small request: it would be wonderful if they could offer malbari paranthas for lunch, especially for tourists. I highly recommend everyone to visit and treat their taste buds to an amazing culinary experience!
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered Kappa Biriyani (goat) and Kappa Fish Curry through Uber Eats. The Kappa Biriyani was tasteless, and the fish curry was just average. What made matters worse was the poor service. The order wasn't ready when I arrived for pickup, so I had to wait an additional 15 minutes at the restaurant. Overall, it took about an hour to receive my food. The worst part was the lack of communication. The manager failed to provide any proper updates, and while we understand delays during busy times, their attitude was completely unprofessional.
Great food, terrible service. Worth it for the food if you can handle the wait and attitude.
Very good. Samosas and mango lassi are a must try.Had paneer and maysore masala dosas,,, very good,,sambhar was a little less sour.
The service ans good quality has declined since last year. Not bad though for quick South Indian fix but they should be doing better...
Pretty good food out here. It was empty when we went for lunch today. The atmosphere is nice and they were playing some nice Indian music. We had the Chicken Varutharacha which came with a bowl of rice but I also ordered a kerala parotha which was amazing. My uncle ordered the Chicken stew with appams. It was nice but a bit sweet for our taste but it was very flavourful. Definitely worth the visit.
If you know quality South Indian food, this is the wharekai for you in Wellington . It’s a little out of place in the drunken district, but you won’t be disappointed if you want fantastic and authentic South Indian kai. Deserves to be on your regular rotation
Woooooweeee I’m in love with the Dosa!! My beautiful work mate took me here and it’s all I can think about. I’ve been twice in a week ❤️ thank you
The butter chicken curry was rich and flavorful, and the mango lassi was a perfect complement to the meal.
Chicken Biryani at its finest. No complaints at all.Pappad(am) is good too.Added the right spices as instructed .Such a lovely dish with the right flavour.will order again.
Arguably the best dosa in New Zealand! I’ve tried many spots across the country, but this place remains my favorite. I recently had the Pazham Pori and Beef special, and it was incredible. It’s not on the regular menu, just a weekly special, but I really hope you continue making it
I visited Kerla Carte today, and the experience was quite disappointing. To start with, no one attended to us for the first 25 minutes. When someone finally did, it took an additional 45 minutes for our dosa to arrive. And when it did, it was completely cold. On a positive note, the chilli mushroom was good, but overall, the service was pathetic. They really need to work on their service and customer experience.
Kerala Parotta was good, soft and crispy while the paneer butter masala was too sweet and watery one even though we ordered medium to hot spicy level(rated 1 out of 5) also the goat pepper fry was under cooked(2 out 5).
Hopeless service! They didn’t even bother serving us after we sat on our table and kept asking for some to take our order n then walked out after 20 mins.
Extremely rude and poor customer service and communication by the older lady waitress. She brought the incorrect menu and when we asked, she repeated that was what we agreed for without even trying to listen. It has truly ruined our night. The food is really good but sadly just because of the poor service, i wont consider going again.
We really loved the curry from Kera La Carte. Super clean and healthy tasting - very authentically South Indian. The kind of food you could eat everyday. Not greasy or heavy. Especially loved the dosa and thick pancake bread - both of which are gluten free!
Nice place to have Kerala food when you have cravings. I enjoyed the food there.
This place is something else. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. Anurag who works there is super friendly and cheerful. Thanks for a great meal and awesome service.
Went for a birthday celebration lunch and we fell in love with this place. It's our favourite Indian restaurant with authentic Kerala dishes plus has many other options to choose from. The KLC specials are amazing and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.
The best South Indian food we have tasted in NZ. Awesome authentic flavours. The dosa and chutney with sambar were just so perfect. Must try.
Delicious meals and a good portion of food. We didn't wait too long for the food, even though the place was quite busy. We tried Lamb Chettinad and Goat Pepper Fry (both come with rice), and Chicken 65 Dry. We really liked the Chicken 65!
Authentic Indian cuisine, if you want to try the flavours of Kerala..Nice place which can accommodate a small number of groups. Nice ambience. The food is delicious and everytime you visit, the taste is the same standard. We always go for the vegetarian thali and this time I tried the kottu parota which was mouthwatering. The portion is really enough for a person. The meat is halal so you can request your food to be prepared halal. The best masala chai in the town.
